The Delhi Police Department arrested an 11-year-old yesterday afternoon after a bomb threat was made against Delaware Academy in Delhi.

According to Chief Michael Mills, the threat was made over an internal radio frequency utilized by the school. Delaware Academy's Superintendent Jason Thomson said that a threat came at approximately 3:15 pm after most students had left the school grounds.

After staff and the remaining students were evacuated, a search was initiated and the building secured. At 4:45 pm the superintendent issued a statement saying, "All of the buildings have been secured. There is no threat."

The 11-year-old was taken into custody during the search. The child was arrested and charged with making a terroristic threat, petit larceny, and fifth-degree possession of stolen property.
