Delaware County Sheriffs Find Hit and Run Suspect

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office has found the driver accused of leaving the scene of an accident last month in Delhi.

Thomas H. Kern, 35 of Walton, was found through matching broken car parts found at the accident scene with the vehicle at a car auction in Ulster County.

According to the sheriff’s office, Kern was driving on Arbor Hill Road in the town of Delhi March 18 when his vehicle left the road and struck a parked car.

His car was then towed from the scene. Kern was issued tickets for leaving the scene of a property damage accident, speed unreasonable for road conditions, failure to keep right and unsafe tires
