How disappointed were you when Chris Daughtry was eliminated from American Idol, season five?  It was a shocker, but this story has a happy ending.  Daughtry didn't settle for fourth place.

This rocker continued his singing career with his band Daughtry.  On this day, February 2, in 2007, Daughtry climbed to number one on the U.S. album chart.  Their self titled, debut album produced hits like "It's Not Over", "Home",  "Over You", "Feels Like Tonight", and "What About Now".   The album sold over one million copies in just five weeks, making it the fastest selling debut rock album of all time.
