A pair of area internet service providers will be sharing in nearly $210 million of funding from The New NY Broadband program providing the last mile funding to ensure high-speed internet access for all New Yorkers. Otsego Electric Cooperative received a $5.7 million grant which combined with other funding adds up to $12.2 million to cover over 1400 locations. DTC Cable of Delhi was awarded a $9.2 million grant meaning the company will have $14.3 million to cover over 1380 locations. Approximately 2.42 million locations statewide have received high speed internet upgrades since the program began in 2015.
