Trouble follows Chris Brown even when he's trying to be a stand up dude. While on his way to a charity event in Los Angeles on Saturday (Feb. 9), Breezy was tailed by the ever-present paparazzi and got into a one-car accident, totaling his ride. It was a Porsche, so that one hadda sting.

Breezy's rep -- now that's a job no one would want, given the singer's propensity for getting into trouble and doing and saying dumb things that require a publicist to work magic and create some serious spin -- told TMZ that the R&B star was toddling along, minding his own business while on his way to the charity event when he was cut off by two other vehicles.

Breezy's flack said that "the occupants jumped out, with cameras, and aggressively approached his vehicle. In an effort to remove himself from the situation, he began to back down an alley at which point his was cut off by two additional vehicles."

Yikes. That sounds like something out of an action movie.

Things didn't get much better, as the rep said, "Chris' vehicle was totaled due to this aggressive pursuit by the paparazzi."

His swanky car may not have survived, but thankfully, Breezy is okay. It's always the paps' fault, isn't it?

A spokesman for the Beverly Hills PD issued a statement about the incident, which was similar to the account offered by Breezy's team. Now there's something you don't hear everyday when it comes to Breezy and the law.

That statement is as follows:

On February 9, 2013 at approximately 1203pm, entertainer Chris Brown was involved in a solo, non-injury traffic collision in the 600 Block Bedford Drive/Camden Drive alley. Mr. Brown was the driver of the vehicle and collided with a wall. Brown stated that he was being chased by paparazzi causing him to lose control of his vehicle. Brown's Black Porsche was towed from the scene at his request.

At least this car accident is a much less dramatic pre-Grammy soap opera for Breezy, than, say, the one that took place four years ago, when he pummeled his then (and now) girlfriend Rihanna. We're sure RiRi can take the sting off Breezy losing his sweet ride.

We're glad the singer is okay and are sorry to hear about his wheels getting totaled.
