On April 12th a Town of Preston resident was arrested by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office following a report of a domestic dispute.

Christopher Turner, 42, was arrested after deputies received a 911 call of a dispute in progress. Turner is accused of unlawfully entering a residence and assaulting two residents. One of the victims had an active order of protection against Turner.

Officials said that Turner used a dangerous instrument during the assault. The two victims were transported to local hospitals to be treated for their injuries.

There were four children in the residence during the incident, all of whom had active order of protections against Turner.

Turner was arraigned in the Town of Preston Court and sent to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $100,000 cash bail. He will reappear in court at a later date.

Turner has been charged with: two counts of assault 1st degree, burglary first degree, aggravated criminal contempt, criminal contempt, criminal possession of a weapon 4th degree, criminal mischief 4th degree, and endangering the welfare of a child
