Remember back to those first job interviews when you were totally green and didn't have any job experience yet?  The dreaded question always came up, "What job experience do you have?"

This morning, Ethan Harris called in to talk about his audition on American Idol.  Last night he received a "Yes" from each judge.  Before the audition began, he got to share a picture he drew of Keith Urban with the country star.  Urban was flattered and autographed the artwork.  The gold ticket means Ethan is Hollywood bound!

Last night a roaring cheer was heard across Otsego and Chenango counties as a third local talent has made it to Hollywood on American Idol.  Ethan Harris (Garrattsville), joins Kaitlyn Jackson (Norwich) and Kari Crimmins (SUNY Oneonta Graduate) on the American Idol journey.  Looking forward to talking with Ethan this morning.

Two big community events are on the way shortly: the first is the Polar Bear Jump Auction on January 28th and the second is the Goodyear Lake Polar Bear Jump on February 15th.  Both events raise funds for area children struggling with serious illnesses.

This Saturday, January 18, 2014, the community is invited to a public forum focusing on the "State of Education in New York".  Three guest speakers will be attending including Carol Burris, 2013 NYS Principal of the Year.  Principals Tim Farley and Frank Sutliff will also be speaking.  The forum is presented by Oneonta Area For Public Education, an affiliate of New State Allies for Publi

This Sunday, December 8, from 10am to 5pm, Foothills Performing Arts Center is hosting "Foothills Day of Giving", encouraging everyone to drop off non-perishable food donations to help support different local food banks, which are really struggling to fill a need to feed the hungry in the community.
