Carol Blazina, Honored Citizen and Educator, Dies at 70

The recipient of the 2015 Eugene A. Bettiol Jr. Distinguished Citizen Award has passed away. Officials say 70 year old Carol Blazina died of an illness last night. Blazina is a retired SUNY Oneonta educator and was recognized in March for her enrichment of the community through her contributions to educational, arts and tourism organizations and charitable groups.
