Bon Jovi ‘Livin’ On A Prayer Today In Music History [Video]

The rock group from Sayreville, New Jersey take the spotlight today in music history.  Bon Jovi, featuring Jon Bovi on vocals, Ritchie Sambora on guitar, Dave Bryan on keyboards, Alec John Such on bass, and Tico Torres on drums, hit number one on the U.S. singles chart with 'Livin' On A Prayer', on this day in 1987.

This would be the group's third charting single after 'Runaway' and their first number one single, 'You Give Love A Bad Name'.  Off of the 'Slippery When Wet' album, the hit would remain at number one for four weeks.
