Bad news is inbound for Battlefield 4 fans, because DICE is putting expansion development on hold until it can fix all of the game's launch issues.

According to CVG, DICE has had to put the focus on fixing issues that have been affecting the game since its launch. While the China Rising expansion has not been affected because it was already in the final stages of development, other expansions down the line will have to wait.

A spokesperson from EA told CVG that "the team at DICE is working non-stop to update the game." The rep also said, "We know many of our players are frustrated, and we feel your pain. We will not stop until this is right."

Recent stability issues on the PlayStation 4 version have been fixed, for the most part, but the China Rising expansion introduced some more issues that need to be fixed as well. There are still nagging issues such as complete system crashes, corrupt data, server instability and XP loss occurring on multiple platforms. "[We're] not moving onto future projects or expansions until we sort out all the issues with Battlefield 4," the rep said. We'll keep you updated on just when that might be as soon as EA and DICE can get it worked out.
