He was one of those actors we all enjoyed watching but could almost never come up with his name.

Bob Hoskins, who died yesterday at 71, was in many hit movies over his long career.  He was Oscar nominated for Mona Lisa (1986).  He was memorable in Who Framed Roger Rabbitt (1988), Mermaids (with Cher, 1990), Hook (1991, as Smee) and Nixon (1995, as J. Edgar Hoover).  His final role was in Snow White and the Huntsman (20012).

He was an Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner.

He died of Parkinsons Disease and pneumonia.
