If you were concerned that you may never again hear another song co-written by Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger, fear not: Despite their recent separation as husband and wife, they’re still making music together. Celebrate!

Avril posted two photos to Instagram yesterday (October 4) showing the two of them in the studio. She captioned one photo with, “YeeHaw! Writing with Chad today [guitar emoji],” and the other with a far more ominous, “Back where it all started…”

If that statement seems a little mysterious, it’s only because you’re not Googling thoroughly enough. The former couple co-wrote Avril’s single “Let Me Go,” which features vocals from both artists, back in March 2013. They were married three short months later.

The two called it quits last month, with Avril making an official announcement of their breakup via an Instagram post. She uploaded a photo of the two from their wedding and wrote, “It is with heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today. Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we’ve created many unforgettable moments. We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support.”

It’s still unclear as to what caused the breakup, but some speculate Avril’s continued battle with lyme disease contributed to their separation.

Are you ready for a "Let Me Go" 2.0, even if it means Chad Kroeger's vocals will make an appearance? Let us know!
