Best Art Ever (This Week): Akira, Princess Zelda, Starman, True Detective, Hannibal and More
We make a regular practice at ComicsAlliance of spotlighting particular artists or specific bodies of work, as well as the special qualities of comic book storytelling, but because cartoonists, illustrators and their fans share countless numbers of great pinups, fan art and other illustrations on sites like Flickr, Tumblr, DeviantArt and seemingly infinite art blogs that we’ve created Best Art Ever (This Week), a weekly depository for just some of the pieces of especially compelling artwork that we come across in our regular travels across the Web. Some of it’s new, some of it’s old, some of it’s created by working professionals, some of it’s created by future stars, some of it’s created by talented fans, awnd some of it’s endearingly silly. All of it is awesome.

Vincent D’Onofrio To Portray Marvel’s Kingpin in ‘Daredevil’, Throws ‘Adventures in Babysitting’ Continuity Into Upheaval
One of few actors whose work can truly be described as brilliant, Vincent D’Onofrio's next project is Marvel and Netflix's forthcoming Daredevil series, in which he will portray Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin. This marks the second time D’Onofrio will inhabit the role of a Marvel character, following a small role as Thor in 1987's Adventures in Babysitting.
The Comics Alliance Collection: Cool Stuff We (And You!) Got This Week
The ComicsAlliance staff is a diverse lineup writers, editors, artists, photographers and designers, but before we’re any of those things we’re simply fans. Appreciators. Collectors. Almost every day we share with each other via Instagram all the great books, toys, artwork, apparel, and other beautiful and/or inescapably cool objects we collect almost ceaselessly in comics stores, at conventions, and from all kinds of sources all over North America (and sometimes beyond). Displaying (i.e. showing off) some rad swag typically inspires everyone to one-up their pop-archeologist game in the never ending quest to find awesome stuff, and simply posting the week’s new comics usually causes someone to discover a new title or artist, which in turn inspires a whole new line of excavation.
In the past we’ve published photos of our “con hauls” here on CA and the resulting discussion with readers — i.e. collector kudos — has always been fun, so with the ComicsAlliance Collection we’re going to do it every week. But more importantly, we want to see your collection too. Show us new additions to your collections by using the hashtag #CAcollection on Instagram and we’ll embed the best stuff alongside our own recent acquisitions. And please do follow us @ComicsAlliance.

‘Teen Titans GO!’ Returns With Live-Action Marionettes And Deals With The Sock-Devil In ‘Puppets Whaaaat?’ [VIDEO]
A superhero sitcom inspired by the characters created and/or popularized by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez, Teen Titans Go! is one of the best ever DC Comics series to come out of Warner Bros. Animation, which is saying something considering the prestigious history of that association. The series has been characterized by a virtually flawless balance of character-based superhero situation comedy and hilarious absurdism, with multiple episodes dedicated to dance parties, romantic rivalries, food-based melodrama, characters actually dying (only to be resurrected inexplicably in the next), and now, selling their souls to the Devil.

REVIEW: ‘Crisis On Infinite X-Men Movies’ or: ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ [Spoilers]
Directed by Bryan Singer, X-Men: Days of Future Past is the thirty-seventh in 20th Century Fox’s series of X-Men films based on the Marvel Comics franchise originated by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee. It is owing to the series’ bitterly old age that the new film is almost totally devoted to reconciling the conflicting plots and divergent timelines of its predecessors. In this very hilarious way, Days of Future Past is the most faithful adaptation to date, having actually translated to film that most core concept of X-Men comics: hopelessly confusing and eternally jacked up continuity.
AAAARRRRRGHHH: Director Edgar Wright Leaves Marvel’s ‘Ant-Man’ Over Creative Differences [$#!%]
Well, this blows.
Edgar Wright, the Shaun of the Dead and Scott Pilgrim director who's been working on a feature film adaptation of Marvel's Ant-Man for the better part of a decade, has parted ways with the studio over what a press release describes as "differences in their vision of the film."
