Two area agencies are receiving grants to operate supportive housing units for homeless persons with special needs, conditions or other challenges. Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. in Otsego County and the Catholic Charities Housing Office in Schoharie County are among the 116 agencies receiving money through the Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative. Awardees are eligible to receive up to $25,000 for each supportive housing unit. The awards will help applicants secure capital to finance the development and construction of their supportive housing project.
