106 MPH Speeding Ticket Leads to Drug Arrests

On April 6th State Police from Binghamton arrested Stephen J. Guccardo, 22, of Rockville, NY, and Rajat Malik, 23, of Baldwin, NY, for unlawful possession of marijuana, and Derek G. Matthews, 22, also of Baldwin, for criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.

The arrests occurred after a trooper stopped Guccardo for speeding at 105 mph in a 65 mph on Interstate Route 81 in Barker, NY.

A search of the vehicle and the occupants found, among other things, marijuana and a 500mg hydrocodone pill.

The three men were issued tickets returnable to the Town of Barker Court on April 15, 2014.
